The Imaginarium of Doctor Panassus. 10

Doctor Panassus is living the lifestyle of a vampire. But he's not one. He is just sharing the  immortality part. He has been living for thousands of years. And somewhere in that long time period of life, he has managed to made a deal with the "devil". Well,not really a deal. Sorta like , a competition. In order to keep up with it, he and his group of 3 people - his daughter, Antoine and Percy - travels in this carriage that is also used as - some sort of - mini stage where they perform acts in random places at the sides of the city. They offer the service of living your dreams for a certain amount of time. Literally. Anything you've ever dreamed or wanted, you can get. All you have to do is just step through this mirror they have.

While they were leaving to find a new place, they met Tony played by the late, Heath Ledger. He was hanging himself under this bridge. They saved him and ,automatically, he became one of them. Things got a little bit MORE chaotic after.

I personally like the movie. Ok, maybe I've fallen in love with the movie. Simply for its absurdity. It's like, you're taken to this whole new place. Going on adventures through and in this "place" behind that mirror. Although, somehow, I feel like the movie could've been done a little bit better. I like the fact that it reminds me about the power owns by this thing we call, dream(s).

I like it a lot better than Alice in Wonderland. And, I have a feeling, this is the kind of movie that you might want - or have to - watch, more than just once. I don't know, just saying. If you like absurd movies with HOT men - Depp, Law and Farrell - in it, you'll love this one. Ledger looks hot too. But since he has passed away, it'll be scary for me to say so. But, fuck that. He IS hot. Dead or alive.

nggak ada matinya buat Ledger dan bintang penggantinya. tapi kalau soal filmnya, aku agak gak suka : )) dari nilai 100 50-50 kubagi antara parnasus sama alice : D

Btw, setelah ngelihat film ini, gw nggak heran sama sekali kenapa Ledger bisa OD. Gila aja meranin dua karakter sableng dalam kurun waktu segitu mepet.

Bieb: Berat atau gak sih, relatif ya. Kalo buat saya,gak terlalu. Cuma emang musti bener-bener merhatiin. Gak bisa nonton sambil ngobrol,sambil keramas apa sambil ngulek cabe gitu *yaeyaaalaaah*

Iya sih ya.. Dari Joker trus ke si Tony ini. Hahaha. Semakin disayangkan sebenernya... He was so talented.

maharrani: Iya sih.. Awal-awal masih berasa lambat banget alurnya. Tapi setelah Ledger muncul , baru berasa lebih menarik. Lily Cole itu emang bawaan karakter kali. haha. Yang boring dan kadang agak ga penting gitu dianya sih.. Tapi cantik... Me likey.
